In Plinko, the path of the ball through the rows of pegs is calculated using a cryptographic hash chain. This ensures the ball's final bin landing is purely mathematical and entirely fair.

At each row, the ball must bounce left or right. The direction is determined by a single bit extracted from the SHA-256 hash of the combined server and client seed.
